Steak Tonight, Lake James Sunday

What we did

Tonight we’re celebrating Bethany’s son’s 16th birthday.

The plan is pretty straightforward: me, Bethany, her two daughters, her son, his friend Gray, and Bethany’s friend Marjorie, all heading out for a steak dinner together. Good food, good company and a pretty important birthday.

That’s more than enough for a good FriYay.

What we’re looking forward to

Sunday is where things get a little more ridiculous.

I rented a big pontoon boat with two slides, and we’re taking it out on Lake James for the entire day.

It’ll be me and Bethany, Ella and one of her friends, Bethany’s two daughters and two of their friends, and Bethany’s son and his friend.

A boat full of kids, sunshine, swimming, slides, Lake James and absolutely no reason to be anywhere else all day.

We’re really looking forward to this one.
