Pizza, Plants & a Little Comedy

What we did

This FriYay is all about some of my favorite things: good food, family, and time with Bethany.

Tonight we’re making homemade pizza with the kids, which is always a good time. A little cooking, probably a little chaos in the kitchen, and everybody getting to spend some time together.

Then, once the kids are settled, it’s just Bethany and me.

We’re planning to curl up on the couch in her living room and watch Remarkably Bright Creatures together.

And honestly, I love that living room. Between the beautiful ocean-blue walls, all the hanging plants we installed together, and her ever-growing collection of monsteras, it’s become one of my favorite places to just hang out with her.

There’s something pretty wonderful about those evenings when we don’t have to go anywhere or do anything particularly exciting.

Just being together is enough.

And having my love kitten curled up next to me makes it even better.

What we’re looking forward to

Saturday is wide open, and we’re keeping it that way.

No big plans, no elaborate schedule. Just a chance to relax, catch up on things, and enjoy a little downtime.

Then Sunday evening, we’re heading out for a proper date night.

First, dinner together, and then we’re going to see Daniel Tosh live on his First Farewell Tour.

A little good food, some adult humor, and hopefully a whole lot of laughing together.

I love that our weekends can be a mix of everything: family time, quiet nights on the couch, doing absolutely nothing, and then heading out for something fun together.

It doesn’t always take a big adventure to make a great memory.

Sometimes it’s homemade pizza, a couch full of pillows, a room full of plants, and the person you love sitting right beside you.
