What we did

This FriYay is all about looking forward to a little Florida adventure.

Tomorrow morning, Bethany, Ella, Ari, and I are catching an early flight to Florida for a long weekend.

We’re heading to New Smyrna Beach, a place that holds a lot of memories for me, and staying at my sister’s house.

One of the things I’m most excited about is getting to share a place that’s been such a big part of my life with Bethany while spending time with Ella and Ari, too.

We have a pretty full weekend ahead, but it’s exactly the kind of weekend I love: a little adventure, some quality time together, reconnecting with old friends, and hopefully plenty of Florida sunshine.

And of course, I couldn’t let us head out on another adventure without making a ridiculous cat meme to celebrate.

Same crew. Bigger adventures. Another Happy FriYay!

What we’re looking forward to

Saturday: Florida Bound!

We’re flying down early and heading to my sister’s house in New Smyrna Beach.

Once we’re settled, we might get a chance to visit one of Bethany’s friends who lives in Orlando.

Then Saturday evening, the adventures split in two.

Ella and Ari are heading to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, where they’ll spend the evening getting scared half to death from 7 PM until midnight.

Meanwhile, Bethany and I are heading to Disney Springs to meet up with my good friends Aura and Christy.

We’ll walk around, catch up, grab something to eat, and enjoy the evening together before picking up the girls.

Sunday: Beach Days & Good Friends

Sunday is all about slowing down and enjoying New Smyrna Beach.

Hopefully we’ll get some sunshine, walk along the beach, put our feet in the sand, and enjoy some time near the ocean.

We’re also looking forward to a nice brunch and just hanging around town without much of a schedule.

Then Sunday evening, my best friend Dave is having us over for dinner with a bunch of friends.

I’m really looking forward to that. There’s something special about getting together with people you’ve known for years and having the person you love right there with you.

Monday: A Little Pampering Before Home

Monday morning, Bethany has a 9 AM facial appointment at Venetian Bay Spa.

A little pampering for my love kitten before we head home.

After that, we’ll spend whatever time we have left enjoying New Smyrna Beach before catching our flight back to Asheville.

Four days. Family, friends, beaches, Halloween adventures, good food, and some time together.

What more could we ask for?

Good friends. Great memories. Brighter days. And another adventure with my favorite person. ❤️
