FriYay no. 9
This isn’t just another FriYay.
Today is Bethany’s birthday, 48 years young, and we woke up together in Savannah with nowhere else we needed to be.
We started the morning slowly, lying in bed with tarot and oracle cards, opening birthday gifts and just enjoying being together. Ella gave Bethany a beautiful necklace, I gave her earrings, and I finally got to give her the birthday card I’d been working on.
Inside was a little QR code that led to something she’d never seen before: HappyFriYay.com, this whole ridiculous, wonderful collection of cat memes and memories we’ve been creating together.
She loved it. ❤️
From here, the birthday girl gets breakfast, some shopping for a new birthday outfit, maybe a bike ride around Savannah, and a big birthday dinner tonight.
But mostly, today is about celebrating Bethany.
We have Savannah until Sunday, and we’re leaving plenty of room to explore.
We’ll wander around the city, soak up the art and all the SCAD energy that’s everywhere here, ride our bikes, eat some great food and do all the touristy Savannah things we feel like doing.
We’re also planning to make our way over to Tybee Island for some beach time.
No packed itinerary. No need to rush.
Just a long birthday weekend together, exploring somewhere new and celebrating 48 years of the woman I love.
Happy birthday, my love kitten.
And, of course...
Happy FriYay. ❤️
