FriYay no. 10
This FriYay is starting out pretty quiet.
I’m heading into The Hound for a few hours tonight while Bethany spends the evening hanging out with her kids. Nothing elaborate, and after some of the adventures we’ve had lately, a simple Friday actually sounds pretty good.
Saturday is project day for both of us.
I’ll be doing some landscaping work at The Hound while Bethany tackles a few projects around the house with the kids. Later, I’ll head over to her place and we’ll take on the garage together: cleaning everything out, organizing it, putting down rubber matting and turning it into a space that actually feels finished.
Because apparently organizing a garage together counts as romance now.
And honestly, I’m kind of here for it.
Saturday night we’re trading work gloves for fair lights.
Bethany, the kids, a few of their friends and I are heading to the big fair here in Asheville. Rides, lights, fair food, kids running around and probably a little chaos. It should be a lot of fun.
Sunday is intentionally almost empty.
No big plans. Just hanging out, slowing down and recharging after a busy Saturday.
And then we have one more thing waiting for us: Monday night date night.
Just me and Bethany. We don’t need anything particularly elaborate planned. After a weekend filled with work, projects, kids and friends, I’m looking forward to having a little time that’s just ours.
It’s a pretty good mix when you think about it.
Work. Family. Projects. Fun. Rest. And us.
Another FriYay and another little piece of this life we’re building together.
